St. Croix Seventh-day Adventist School
The St. Croix Seventh-day Adventist School is a coeducational institution serving the island of St. Croix, in the United States Virgin Islands. The school began as an elementary school located at the Christiansted Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1946. From the beginning, very high standards were set and achieved. The first graduation was held in 1950 with six students graduating from the eighth grade. The school continued to grow steadily.
In 1965, grade nine (9) was added, then grade ten (10) in 1966. Grades eleven (11) and twelve (12) were added in 1975 and 1976 respectively. By this time, the enrollment had grown to 730 students. Since 1975 our school has had a fully functioning student council, whose administration consists of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-arms and Chaplain. Our school choirs and bands, over the years, have won numerous awards throughout our territory.
