Our Curriculum Overview

Curriculum guides for most subject areas are prepared by the Department of Education of the General conference of Seventh-day Adventist. These guides contain well laid out objectives, methods, and resource material. Our curriculum content requires a combination of these guidelines plus the specified curriculum guidelines as determined by our state.

Curriculum guides for most subject areas are prepared by the Department of Education of the General conference of Seventh-day Adventist. These guides contain well laid out objectives, methods, and resource material. Our curriculum content requires a combination of these guidelines plus the specified curriculum guidelines as determined by our state. Our academic program is organized on a rotating semi-block schedule. Eight (8) credits over two semesters is the minimum course load for the school year; Students are guided to take all basic requirement courses during the first two years of high school. After the first two years students are able to choose advanced courses in the areas of business, mathematics, or the sciences.

General and advanced courses (Non AP)offered include: Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Advanced Algebra, Statistics, English Language, English Literature, American Literature,   V.I. History, U.S. History, and World History. Business Courses include: General Business I&II, Accounting I & II, Office Procedures, Business Management, and Business Law, which contains a Moot Court program. Home Economics, Computer, (2 credits) Foreign Language, (2 credits) plus Health & Physical Education (2 credits) are also standard requirements.
